Beware.... Winter is coming !!!

Beware.... Winter is coming !!!

Everyone likes children, and the beauty of the house is due to children. Every parent will be well aware of how exciting the early years of a child's life are. Everything of the child pleases the heart, in the same way, the rest and peace of the day and night end even on his small pain. Especially when children are suffering from chest pain. It is not enough for them to come up with such a foolproof prescription and the child will become the same again, as it was before the pain.

By the way, there is a great need to take care of children in all seasons, because the fluctuations of the weather affect the children very quickly. However, the winter season affects the health of children more than other seasons, this is because the immunity of children is a little lower. So cold, flu, cough, and fever soon attack them in winter. Diseases like nasal congestion, allergy, itching, and pneumonia get worse in winter. Excessive cold also increases the pain in the nose, ears, throat, legs, and ribs. Newborn babies cannot withstand the harshness of the weather, so parents should start including such things in the children's diet before the arrival of winter so that such diseases cannot become more severe. Such preventive measures should be taken, due to which prevention of these diseases can be possible. Because a cold can turn into pneumonia due to the severity of the fever, due to which children's ribs start moving and they have to have a little trouble breathing.

  • Symptoms of a cold
Young children are not able to express their pain verbally, so it is the responsibility of parents to pay attention to any signs of pain in them, especially not to ignore these symptoms. Like, runny nose, blocked nose, runny nose, fever, sneezing, cough, loss of appetite, irritability, crying, difficulty in sleeping, difficulty in drinking milk due to blocked nose, etc.
  • Acute symptoms
If your baby starts shivering, or his hands, feet, and face are cold and red, or pale and stiff, bring him to a warm place right away. Experts say you shouldn't rub the cold area to rewarm it, as this can further damage the cold skin. Instead, use a warm washcloth to gently warm the skin. Then put on warm and dry clothes. If it doesn't improve within a few minutes, call your doctor.

Other signs of a child having a severe cold and needing medical attention are lethargy, unresponsiveness, and blue lips or face. See an emergency immediately.

By taking just a few precautions in cold winds and winters, every mother can protect her baby from getting sick. Some precautions are listed below. Read and take advantage.

  • WARM CLOTHES
Small children often get cold from the feet and chest. In this case, be careful that the child does not walk barefoot. If the child is at home, a pair of socks is enough. But if you take the child outside for a walk or a stroller ride. Make sure the baby is wearing more than one layer of warm clothes when going. For example, wear a woolen sweater or body warmer under a full-sleeved shirt and tights under pants or trousers. Double up on socks when going out. Don't forget to cover the baby's head, hands and ears so that the baby can enjoy the weather without being cold.
  • MASSAGE
Massage is very important for a baby from birth to three years of age. It helps in strengthening the baby's bones and also moisturizes the baby's skin. Children's skin is very soft and delicate, so the cold winds of winter can make it dry and rough. This causes the skin to crack and is a painful process. Therefore, massage is very important to keep the baby's skin moisturized.

In the winter season, close the windows and doors of the room and turn on the heater, etc. and when the room starts to feel a little warm, take off the baby's clothes and give him a massage. Avoid massaging the baby in ventilated areas. This can cause the baby to catch a cold. Similarly, do not move to a ventilated place immediately after the massage, as the massage warms the body. Massage the oil before bathing

  • BATHING
A child should be bathed less in winter than in summer. But whenever taking a bath, opt for lukewarm water. Close the door of the washroom before bathing so that the passage of cold air is minimal and the child can bathe in a calm environment. After bathing, bring the baby to a pre-warmed room and dress immediately. On the day the baby is bathed, wear warmer clothes than on other days. Also, moisturize the body with baby lotion. The afternoon is the best time to bathe the baby rather than early morning or evening.
  • FOOD
From the beginning of winter, mothers should take care of their children's diet. At first, adults do not feel the cold so much, but these early days of winter can be dangerous for children. Therefore, from the beginning of winter, give children warm and strong foods. If the baby drinks from the feeder, watch the temperature of the milk so that the milk does not get cold. Always give lukewarm milk to babies. If the child has started solid food, give him oat soup, corn soup, or similar healthy soup in small quantities in addition to egg yolk and honey to improve the immunity of the child. Avoid banana, rice curd, and such foods
  • LACTATING MOTHERS
If you are breastfeeding your baby, you also need to avoid colds. Because everything a mother is exposed to has an impact on the baby. Dress in warm clothes. Keep your feet, back, and nose covered. Do not stay in cold water for too long. Never pick up a baby with wet or cold hands. Add healthily and warming foods to your diet. Especially dry fruits, soup, honey, eggs, and warm milk, make them a part of your daily diet.
  • BED
What's better than a warm and cozy bed in cold weather??? Babies spend most of their time sleeping. And restful sleep is an important part of their development. Whenever you put the baby to sleep, make sure that the bed is not wet or cold. Always change the baby's diaper before sleeping to keep the baby dry. Warm up the room by turning on the heater sometime before taking the baby into the room so that the environment of the room warms up. But while running the heater, keep a container of water in the room so that the humidity in the room is maintained and overheating does not lead to suffocation
  1. MEDICINE OR HOME REMEDIES
In winter, mothers often complain of children's colds, coughs, and fevers. Even with the utmost care, a child can sometimes catch a cold. which may make him sick.

In children, suffering due to cold start at the age of three or four weeks. The peak period of these diseases is the age of five to seven years. After the age of eight years, these diseases do not intensify. Children whose parents or other family members smoke are more likely to get sick. If the living area is humid, dense, and cold, the chances of these diseases will increase. Often mothers take their children to the doctor very early in case of mild illness.

The children recover quickly from the very strong medicines and antibiotics prescribed by the doctor, but these medicines further weaken the child's immunity. Being a mother myself I will give you tips on home remedies and healthy foods. This will help to make the child's immune system better and stronger from within and the child will get sick less. Give honey to the child from time to time. Put a little honey on the pacifier or your clean fingertip.

Turmeric mixed with milk and soft-boiled egg yolk is also very useful. Thin chicken soup, 1 to 2 tablespoons of celery, or fennel water is also helpful in winter. Give all things to the baby in small amounts from time to time, if the baby digests it, give it again. All these things will help in improving and strengthening his digestive system and immune system. If you feel worse, consult a doctor
